Maria the merchant’s medium-width feet – details:

• Not a high instep and not a low instep
• A “flipper” shape, meaning the toes are almost equally long, with no pronounced curve at the toe line 😊
• A slightly rounded toe box suits best; very pointed shapes often don’t have enough room for Maria’s big toe
• Usually wears size 43, with a medium-wide G last or a wide H last
• In barefoot shoes, typically size 42, because there’s enough room for the toes
• Length of the longer foot: 26.8 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 11 cm

Size 43 in this model was too roomy for Maria! Maria also tried sizes 42 and even 41. Size 41 went on, and the width was good, but it was too short. Size 42 was the best length for Maria, and there was at least enough width. They have a roomy fit and a wide last! Maria would choose size 42 in these lovely soft shoes.

Sanna the merchant’s narrow/medium-width feet – details:

• The toes form a gentle diagonal line – the tips go in "length order" 😊
• Usually wears size 40, sometimes 39 or 41 depending on the model
• Slightly narrow F width or medium G width
• Length of the longer foot: 25.5 cm
• Width at the ball of the foot: 10 cm

Size 40 felt suitable in width for Sanna, but a little too short. Size 41 felt more comfortable in length on Sanna’s feet; her toes did not touch the toe box as they did in size 40. However, the model is a little too roomy in size 41 for Sanna’s slender feet. Still, these shoes feel lovely on a slightly wider foot!
